Frequency Band: The first licensed force feedback wheel for the Nintendo GameCube video game system. Feel the road, bumps, walls, and crashes with incredible detail. Comfortable textured grip and precise steering control. Take control with the same buttons found on a standard Nintendo GameCube controller (A, B, X, Y, Z) that can be used for a variety of car control functions such as horn, lights, and wipers. Integrated +Control Pad lets you easily make menu selections, change views, and other standard +Control Pad functions. Dual clamping system holds the wheel base tight and secure, but can be easily tightened and loosened for quick installation and removal. Wheel-mounted L & R paddles can be used as gas/brake or gear shifters if the pedals are attached (sold separately). Easy installation on the Nintendo GameCube controller socket.
Green Compliance: Yes
Strengths: Force feedback design is great! Nice texture and size of the wheel.
Weakness: Accessory pack sold seperately. Controll key pad is a bit unhandy.
I have two games, NFS supports the device well. I felt real when driving on the roadside, crossing bumper, smash signs, scratching walls, and cashing. However, Mario kart is not! I can't use the default pedal for break and acceleration. Others feel real as well. I might buy the accessory pack when I have more time for racing game!
Strengths: Reality and "strength" of the feedback, "feel" and size of the wheel, rotation, placement of buttons and paddles, extra-long cables (probably twice as long as normal wired GC controllers)
Weakness: Mounting design (i.e., it must be "clamped" to a surface), pedals are sold separately
This is one of the best additions to any gaming system I've come across, assuming you like realistic driving games. NeedForSpeed2 is simply amazing. As you drive through the various courses, you feel the cops bump your tail, you feel the wheels get completely free and loose as you go airborn, and you feel the clapboards on the wooden bridges. Using the "windshield" view in NFS2 with this wheel is...
Strengths: Very realistic steering wheel. Adds a new level of play to racing games.
Weakness: Only works with games that are designed to support the wheel. Brake/Gas pedals sold separately.
This is the best steering wheel by far that I have used on any system. Most steering wheels just emulate the standard joystick. This steering wheel is different. The games are programmed to work with this wheel. The result is awsome! Most of the games I've tried work great and include force feedback when you drive. It is very realistic. The only game I have trouble with is Super Mario Kart. It is...
Speed Force Steering Wheel
Strengths: Realistic Force Feedback.
Weakness: Need to take some time to make use to it.
I try this great steering wheel with MArio Kart. It might be to hard to play the game with this steering at first. But once you use to it, you will never use the normal joypad anymore. One of the good thing i need to mention here is the realistic feeling from the wheel. When you are driving on road, you will feel like the steering is hard to turn (tight). WHen your car "fly"(not making contact...
