Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: The original Resident Evil overhauled with new graphics and sound, a lot of new surprises, great atmosphere.

Weakness: Still utilizes the old control scheme, no use of analog, same flaws of the original.

While this is just a remake of the original Resident Evil, it's a fantastic remake. The graphics have been completely done from scratch and are jaw dropping gorgeous. The little effects like the lighting flashes create a great atmosphere. Fortunate for us, the FMV has been dumped in favor of CG movies or even real time cutscenes utilizing the great graphics engine. Another good aspect of this...

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: Excellent remake of the classic survivor horror original.

Weakness: Nothing that was not an original weakness to the game – fixed camera, pre-rendered backgrounds, and some poor camera angles.

Gameplay : 4 out of 5 Graphics : 5 out of 5 Sound : 5 out of 5 The remake of Resident Evil for the Gamecube brings the Playstation (PS) classic into this generation of consoles. The graphical improvements over the original PS version brings to life the eeriness of being trapped in mansion with a bunch of flesh-eating zombies. The projected ambience and mood are elements that make RE’s gaming...

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: Classic Resident Evil atmosphere, stunning graphics

Weakness: Clunky control scheme, Resident Evil quirks (very limited inventory space)

Classic survival horror gameplay with highly improved visuals. This game will stun you with just what the Gamecube is capable of. A few subtle changes with regard to enemy placement and fright moments make the game replayable if you've played it on other consoles. You will either tolerate or hate the Resident Evil quirks such as limited inventory space and limited ammunition.

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: Scary, Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay

Weakness: Difficult to learn controls

The Resident Evil series has been going strong for years now, and this gamecube version of the original game is a fantastic remake. The graphics have received an absolutely huge update and the game looks ubelievable -- better than nearly every other game out there. The sound is also very good with creepy ambient sounds that keep the tension going like no other game has managed before. The...

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: The game has very good graphics, sound, story, and Gameplay. I recommend this game for anyone who enjoys the Resident Evil series or if you like any other Survival Horror games like Silent hill.

Weakness: The game has no weaknesses in my opinion. The game's perfect in every way!!! Beaten it 10 times!!!

Well the game plays out similar to the original one for Playstation but with a ton of added extras. Even if you've played the Playstation version thousands of times I wouldn't miss out on this game since everything has been redone except for the plot, but it has been revised and added onto so there is a few new surprises.

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: It has a great story line and the graphics are off the hook!

Weakness: NOTHING!!!

The graphics are way better than that of Ps's version. This is one reason of how superior gamecube's graphics over many PS2 and Xbox games. Also The characters have never looked so good. The sound and the voices of the characters have been improved. This is a must own game if you like the Resident Evil saga. It's one of the many reasons I chose Gamecube over all!

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: This game has awsome sounds and the graphics and the gameplay is so realistick.

Weakness: The only and worst problem i had was the camera angle.

In this game you will face of with numerous enemy's and is good for sleep-overs. You will also have to solve bone chilling mysteries and the sound makes it really creepy. This is a great game for everyone.

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: Excellent graphic and sound (better with s-video cable and a Bose surround sound system)

Weakness: Extremely similar to the first resident evil (thought it was much more different)

The game play is excellent, this game have cool new defensive weapon that can be use to kill some zombies' behind. However, if you don't burn them they will return and become more powerful than before. So don't think blood on the floor equal zombie is death, I learned the hard way. This game is excellent I would recommend to anyone. TRY IT!!!!!!!!

Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube

Strengths: A complete graphical overhaul of the Playstation version, excellent graphics and music, well-done horror atmosphere

Weakness: Playing the first version gives you some insight into what's going on, limited only to the Gamecube, the same old Resident Evil odd control scheme

One of the must-have games for the Gamecube, shows off why the little purple cube is quite the game machine. The game keeps you enthralled into the whole story, the atmosphere is almost movie-like, and the voice acting and sounds make it well worth the purchase. Anyone who has a Gamecube must get this game, no question.

Resident Evil

Back in 1996, creative genius Shinji Mikami at Capcom Japan managed to wrench the survival horror moniker away from Edward Carnby of the Alone in the Dark series, crank up the intensity and gore factor to hereto unforeseen levels in a videogame, add laughable dialog, and create another multi-million dollar franchise for Capcom.

Resident Evil

Director George Romero's 1968 film Night of the Living Dead scared the hell out of movie-going audiences across the globe when it debuted so many years ago. The idea that deceased people could somehow rise from the grave again was only slightly less frightening than their seemingly newfound hunger for the living.
