She's battled baddies on nearly every Nintendo system, cleaned house in the Super Smash Bros. series and recently blasted off for heroic adventures on the GCN (Metroid Prime) and the GBA (Metroid Fusion). This February, Samus Aran will return to her roots and relive the story that started it all -- revealing for the first time full details of her meeting with the Metroids. The plotline will be familiar to longtime fans of the Metroid series, but the challenges are new, the power-ups are plentiful (taken from several games in the series) and the graphics and sound are supercharged. Plus, if you thought that the original Metroid had a surprise ending, wait until you get past the Mother Brain in Metroid: Zero Mission. A new twist provides a deeper adventure than ever before. minimize

4 Star ReviewOutstanding video/audio action game for GBA/GBSP. ...

Strengths:

Classic Metroid action! You've gotta love SAMUS IN ACTION

Weaknesses:

Still a little clunky in terms of story line.

Posted May 13, 2004 - Outstanding video/audio action game for GBA/GBSP. Lots of variation in the price and availability, so use PriceGrabber or look for a local sale at Target or BestBuy. Must consider getting the Nintendo Guide (yeah, another $20) to get the most action/enjoyment. The codes and help are worth the price. This game will be a long-time player for the SP, I have no doubt. We enjoyed a borrowed copy enough to want one NOW -- fortunately this website had a good price listed....

4 Star ReviewMetroid: Zero Mission is a remake of the original ...

Strengths:

Play control is 100x better than the original. The story is more involved. The game is longer. The extended storyline explains a lot of Samus' history before Metroid Prime.

Weaknesses:

The game was quite short. Save points do not recharge your power. It is therefore feasible that you may accidently save with very little power left and get stuck in a hard area.

Posted Sep 21, 2004 - Metroid: Zero Mission is a remake of the original Metroid for the 8-bit Nintendo. The enhanced graphics, sound, and play control make this game a joy for people who have completed the original Metroid, or people who are new to the series. Zero Mission's story line fills in a lot of blanks about Samus' history for players who may only be familiar with Metroid Prime. This game is excellent! I coudln't put it down once I started playing. This leads me to my chief complaint: despite adding new areas not in the original Metroid, the game can be completed in 10-15 see more
