Software Name: Odin Sphere
Software Main Type: Game
Strengths: 2D graphics/designs look great.
Weakness: Somewhat repetitive combat, horrible inventory/item system design
Odin Sphere is probably the best looking (at the very least visually intriguing) 2D game ever. All the artwork and graphics are extremely detailed and very imaginative. If people remember Legend of Mana for the Playstation, Odin Sphere is kind of similar to it, except the tone and design is generally darker. Beyond the beautiful 2D graphics, the game itself isn't all that special. There are some...
Strengths: Best beat'em up with awesome 2D graphics
Weakness: Loading times
This is one the best beat-em up games releases by Atlus. The game itself has beautiful graphics and the story telling is great. You choose 5 characters and each one has different traits and story. You can customize the character and raise their stats by just mixing items. The only downfall of this game is the loading times. The stage maps are kind of similar but the design are different. This...
Strengths: Awesome graphics (2D art)
Weakness: Slowdown at times
Odin sphere is a great action RPG published by Atlus. It features gorgeous art-like 2D graphics and battles. The presentation is nearly perfect and is an instant classic. One drawback is the occasional slowdown during boss battles. Otherwise, I can't find any flaws in the game, be it the graphics, story or the gameplay. At only $40, this is a fresh game that deserves a buy!
Strengths: Gorgeous 2D art
Weakness: Repetitive gameplay
Odin Sphere is one of the most beautiful 2D games released in some time, maybe ever. The hand-drawn art is spectacular, and the cut animation has a very unique style. While the gameplay can get repetitive both in environment and in action, there is enough in this RPG-Lite to keep fans of that genre and the action genre as a whole entertained for the most part.
Strengths: Stunning 2D action RPG with good story
Weakness: Severe slowdown during some boss fights
Odin Sphere is an action RPG featuring a 2D battle mechanic and gorgeous hand-drawn backgrounds. The game is very deep and will provide you with 50+ hours of gameplay. Each stage of the game is a circular side-scrolling area (thus the "sphere" in the title) that doubles back on itself, making for a unique gameplay experience. Each sphere has a different inherent difficulty and you can choose...
Strengths: Everything
Weakness: None
Every tiem I think the PS2 has reached the pinnacle of what it can do in RPG Gaming, Another great RPG comes along. I thought that FFXII would be the last great PS2 RPG because of the new PS3. Then Rouge Galaxy was amazing. And now Odin Sphere. Everything about Odin's Sphere comes together. It's fantastic artwork and great story ring the characters to life. The Combat system is not too simple,...
Strengths: Beautiful 2d graphics, many interesting systems, near perfect presentation
Weakness: Some NASTY slowdown in some parts
Wow, that's all I can say. This game is FUN. There's just no other word for it. You just can't help but smile when you play it. From the story, to the graphics, to the old school with a new school twist gameplay, this game is an instant classic. Just when you feel you are getting tired of one character, the story moves on to the next, which plays just different enough to remain fresh through the...
Strengths: Tight visuals, solid gameplay, good value
Weakness: the ps2
The old Sega Saturn game Princess Crown unfortunately never got a release in the US. Luckily, its spiritual offspring has been releases and instead of lamenting over PC not making it, one can enjoy Odin Sphere. This is a great game, and for anyone remotely interested or thinking they like the art direction, it needs to be experienced. True, there are some downfalls, such as loading times and...
Strengths: huge sprites, good battle system, great story
Weakness: n/a
This is one of the freshest games I've played in a long time. The graphics are gorgeous, the battle system is excellent, and the story is great. The story details five different stories and pulls it together for one great coherent story. Buy this game asap.

Action is a genre that’s both tiring and tireless. It’ll never go away, though some games make us wish it would. It comes in many shapes and forms (2D or 3D, third-person or first-person), and is the first to bombard a new console. In between the Grand Theft Autos, God of Wars, and Halos of the world, where can we turn for a spellbinding experience? We search, we hunt, we hope… But do we...

Beat-'em-Up-RPG?
Strengths: GORGEOUS graphics, refreshing gameplay, top-notch voice acting and a very engaging storyline.
Weakness: Very bad slowdown in some areas, repetition of levels/bosses between characters
Odin Sphere is technically an RPG, but it's nothing like the types of games you usually associate with that genre. It has much more in common with a 90's-era beat-'em-up. 2D side-scrolling graphics and full action gameplay (that only pauses when you access the menus). The sprites are gorgeous, with lots of great details in their animations. And enemies that more than fill up the screen. The...
