Flipnic: Ultimate Pinball is no ordinary pinball game. Sure, there's a silver ball, some flippers, and plenty of bumpers, but that's where the similarities to real pinball end. The "tables" in Flipnic are actually worlds, each wrapped around a unique theme. There's a tropical jungle, an intergalactic planet (complete with menacing UFOs), a trippy discotheque, and an 8-bit stage straight from the early days of gaming.

While the basic pinball mechanics and physics are sound, Flipnic expands on them by letting you control and interact with multiple objects within the environments. Plus, there are missions to accomplish, bosses to battle, and secret areas to discover. There's even a rather enjoyable two-player mode.

Skill, luck, and a great deal of patience are required to excel in Flipnic, but if you stick with it, you'll find a very clever and rewarding pinball experience.

Bouncing balls and rubber bumps, Waterfalls and snowy clumps. Power-ups that multiply, What the heck, did I just die? Thankfully I have a spare, I found it deep within the lair.
