Resident Evil: Dead Aim is best explained as a game that combines the adventure elements of Resident Evil (in the Resident Evil universe) and adds in the GunCon shooting action of games such as Time Crisis or Ninja Assault. you can play Resident Evil: Dead Aim using a duelshock, GunCon or mouse but the best way to play is to use a duelshock to move & a GunCon2 to shoot monsters when need be....
Strengths: Resident Evil Light gun game.
Weakness: No Guncon2 = No fun.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim is a light gun game for PS2. The game is fun playing with a Guncon2, but if you don't have a Guncon2 it can be an awful experience in gaming. The game plays like a typical light gun game, except that this is a slower moving light gun game. Its like Capcom tried to convert a survival horror game to a light gun game control system. Didn't all come out to perfect. Give the...
Strengths: One of the few light gun games for this generation of consoles. Interesting take on the Residebnt Evil Franchise.
Weakness: Definately not the best gun game out there.
What can I say? I've always been a sucker for light gun games. This is one of the few games this generation to use the light gun,and while it is not the best of those out there, it is still fun, and somewhat novel experience. I especially liked the option of choosing your own fighting ground, rather than being trapped in whatever situation the game feels like dropping you in. It wasn't a perfect...
Strengths: Pseudo-RE action, good story, makes use of the Guncon2
Weakness: Controls are clunky, game is super short
Resident Evil Dead Aim is part of Capcom's Gun Survivor series, and I would probably consider it the worst one even though I still had fun playing. Its just too slow for a lightgun game but the RE fan in me still liked it quite a bit. One big part of RE is conserving ammo, so for those wanting a run and gun style game, this will definitely disappoint you. If you're looking for a new and different...
Capcom’s Resident Evil series has always been a favorite of mine. Ever since I played the very first one on the Playstation in 1996 I’ve been hooked on the Resident Evil universe. Everything from its story to its intense gameplay has always been evolving with each addition to the franchise. One of the evolutions that took place was integrating a light gun into the series. In 2000 Resident...

Over in Japan, where personal firearms are rarer than anime that makes sense, Capcom cranks out a series of light-gun games under the Gun Survivor label, an appellation that would never, ever fly in the States, where the video-game industry dyes its light-guns neon green and Day-Glo orange and calls them Justifier and Super Scope. Resident Evil: Dead Aim is the fourth entry in the GS series, the...

Can Resident Evil: Dead Aim overcome Survivors legacy of ruining the Evil series for first-person shooter treatment?

The difference in quality between the Resident Evil and Dino Crisis franchises in comparison to the spin-off Gun Survivor games is pretty amazing. While the former are among the best adventure titles of the last twenty years, the Survivor series hasn't been nearly as distinguished. In fact, the unpopular offshoot is generally acknowledged to be the laughing stock of the survival horror world. Not...

Better than RE: Survivor.
Strengths: Fun with the gun, still fun without the gun.
Weakness: Graphics could be a bit better, the voice acting is rather low.
This is actually the 4th installment in Capcom's Survivor series of light gun games, and 3rd Resident Evil-type Survivor. While not as good as Dino Stalker, it does have an interesting story when compared to the usual light gun game. The game takes place on a ship and you are forced to survive the endless amounts of T-virus conaminents that plague a ship. With or without a lightgun the game is...
