Strengths:

The crashes, the visuals are great, the crashes, the soundtrack, the crashes, the play modes, the crashes and the sense of speed. Did I mention the crashes.

Weaknesses:

No licensed cars, recycled tracks.

Posted Jul 4, 2005 - Burnout may quite possibly be the best arcade racing title ever released. The game creates such a sense of speed that no other game has been able to match. The crashes are so well done that you will flinch when they happen. I wish this game had the pursuit mode that was in the second game, and some licensed cars, but with the horrifying crashes that are in the game I can see why car manufacturers stayed away from this series, it doesn't really matter though, the game is pretty much flawless otherwise. Strengths:

Fast, Beautiful, Multiplayer.

Weaknesses:

Soundtrack and no real cars are it's only weakness, and it's not so bad.

Posted Jun 22, 2005 - DO NOT COMPARE THIS TO GRAN TURISMO 4. This is the greatest non-sim racing game ever. The crashes are great, the different modes of play are awesome. The cars are insanely fast with a great variety of them. It's just great. Single player is damn good, but its better with friends. Team play is fun split screen. It's 20 dollars now, just buy the game. You will like it.
