Excellent Game
Strengths: This game has improved pitching and hitting controls over previous versions as well as a new owner mode
Weakness: none so far
According to my husband, who is an avid basesball game player, this is the best all around game to date. As a new owner you can manage rosters and play the games for all of your franchise's teams and can add on to your own stadium. The gameplay is very easy to learn even for my daughter, and fun. The aspects of the game can be adjusted to make the game more realistic. It has everything you can...

no major improvements, but a great game nonetheless
Strengths: Improved pitching/hitting controls, graphics are great, new owner mode
Weakness: Unforgiving controls
MVP Baseball 2005 is a great game. It seems like there's nothing this game can't do. The dynasty mode is the core fo the game as you try to win season after season , improving your players and your team. However, this is pretty much unchanged from last year. As a matter of fact there have only been a couple of changes from last years version, and luckily they are all improvements. First is the...

Best Baseball Game Around
Strengths: Great graphics, great gameplay (fixed most problems from last year), new owner mode, new minigames.
Weakness: No more next year, switching to NCAA Baseball.
When it comes to sports games, it always comes down to EA vs, Take Two. This year is the last year for this to happen in the MLB games since Take Two nabbed the exclusive MLB third party license. It's a shame since MVP is the better of the two, but with a 150 year franchise mode, you have plenty to do while you wait for the license to end. The main problem with last year's game was some of the...

lots of baseball fun
Strengths: love the owner mode, gameplay arcadey but realistic
Weakness: annoying soundtrack
This is a great game with loads of different options and modes. The core gameplay is pretty realistic to real pro baseball I think, although its presented in somewhat a arcadey way, with different icons and such. But your scores will always be pretty legit. The owner mode is a new feature and while it takes a bit to get into, totally hooks you into trying to develop the best team in the league...

Great Baseball Game
Strengths: Great gameplay, especially pitching interface. Graphics look great, plenty of unlockables. New owner mode offers a lot of depth to the game.
Weakness: Soundtrack is limited and annoying.
This is probably the best all-around baseball game to date. The new owner mode is incredibly deep. You can manage rosters and play the games for all of your franchise's teams, all the way to Single A ball. You can also manage and add on to your own stadium, and set pricing for merchandise. The gameplay in this game is great and intuitive. It is easy to learn and fun to master on harder levels,...
