Strengths: Natural jungle environments, brilliant use of gadgetry, memorable characters and situations
Weakness: None.
After the largely disappointing Metal Gear Solid 2, which had a confusing storyline and raised more questions than it answered, Hideo Kojima and his team at Konami Japan hit the nail on the head with Metal Gear Solid 3. The game is set in the 1960's and explains much of the backstory to the original games in the series. The majority of the game takes place in an outdoors, jungle environment,...
Strengths: Graphics, gameplay, storyline, sound
Weakness: camera, controls, learning curve
This is much better then MGS2. The storyline is great, to go back in time to learn more of Snake's history. The graphics are top notch for the PS2, on par with the Xbox. The sound is as good as it gets for a video game. My biggest complaint is the learning curve is steep for newbies to the game. The controls are tough to get comfortable with, but the goes along with the learning curve.
Strengths: Amazing graphics and sound, great stealth gameplay, extremely challenging, well-done story
Weakness: Long load times
MGS3:SE is the third Metal Gear Solid game, and it's the best in the series, so far. It's set in the 1960's Russia, searching for missing nuclear weapons. The story is a great espionage action tale, well written with numerous plots turns as the games progresses. The game looks great and sounds great, with amazing graphics and sound, though there's the occasional long load times that happen. The...
Strengths: Graphics, sound, gameplay, and voice acting.
Weakness: Maybe too tedious for some and bad camera.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a stealth action game for PS2. You play as Snake through a outside setting this time around. This changes gameplay a bit and requires a lot more stealth than usual. This makes the game harder and might turn off some. The graphics, sound, and voice acting are all superb in this game and not much on the PS2 can beat it graphically even now. Fixed camera angles can...
Strengths: Excellent game setting, great graphics/sound, great story.
Weakness: Sometimes camera seems akward.
The metal gear series continues it's excellence with this title. Great graphics and sound, definitely top notch work. Story plays out nicely and the new setting works very well. What else can you expect from this series though. If you liked the other MGS games or just like games in general you should own this game.
Strengths: Some of the best graphics on the PS2, intense gameplay, deep storyline, creative characters and innovative/tough boss battles.
Weakness: Confusing storyline
Metal Gear Solid is a must-buy if you own a Playstation 2. It is one of the flagship titles for this console and there is a good reason why. The graphics keep on improving as the newer Metal Gear games are released and this puts all the other PS2 games to shame. The storyline is very deep and gives you the history behind all the Metal Gear games. The gameplay is very intuitive because you have to...
Strengths: steath missions, online, cutscences
Weakness: annoying emenies
Your name is Snake and you are doing a steath mission to find Sokolov a person who made weapons of mass destruction and the country who has them is Russia and it is during the cold war(in the 1960's). It is up to you and only you to save Sokolov and stop Russia. This game is a must buy.
Strengths: fun story, great gameplay, great boss battles
Weakness: camera is difficult
This is exactly what you'd expect from the Metal Gear series. A fantastically made game with lots of polish and an over the top, campy, yet fun plot with excellent gameplay and lots of easter eggs to find. It is funny, dramatic and captivating, challenging yet lenient, and a whole lot of fun. The only problem I have is with the camera, which is not free floating so it is hard to see things you...
Strengths: Playstation 2 GAME OF THE YEAR 2004
Weakness: NONE
Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is pretty close to being a perfect game. It has all the qualities you look for in a good game. Everything from the graphics to the sound is presented at such a high level. The graphics in this game are some of the best seen on the PS2. The jungle and forest settings are beautiful. The character designs are some of the best in the series. Audio is top notch in this...

The game that invented tactical espionage action is back. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater takes players to a new time and place. Gone are the days of long hallways, air ducts and large offices. The jungle is your environment in this game, changing the way the series plays like you wouldn't believe. Snake Eater's story takes place during the 60's, long before the events of Sons of Liberty. New...

I walked into Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater with high hopes but also a little skepticism. After all, the much-hyped MGS2 didn't quite live up to the phenomenal expectations we all had. But four marathon play sessions later, I emerged a changed gamer. Players who've dialed down their expectations are in for a pleasant surprise. Snake Eater is not only a return to form for series creator Hideo...

Sometimes there can be too much of a good thing and one begins to wonder if the greatness can hold its death grip on your senses for the whole trip. There's a fear that at the last moment the experience will take a drastically wrong turn and turn your favorite t-shirt into a dishrag. But put those fears aside because Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater manages to set a fantastic pace early on and...

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Strengths: graphics, gameplay, replay factor, story
Weakness: camera can be troubling, kinda easy
Snake Eater is easily the best MGS game yet. Cool character design, unique boss battles and a comprehensible story (i'm looking at you MGS2!!!) lead to a very enjoyable stealth action game. It is primarily a stealth game, so if you're not a fan of other MGS or splinter cell type games than this one isn't going to change your mind. I ended up getting spotted and having to blast my way out of most...
