The sequel to the classic "survival horror" game Galarians, Galarians: Ash brings a quest-driven thriller to the PS2 that continues the series' masterful blend of horror and science-fiction. Rion discovered his own identity as an artificial being, yet succeeded in destroying the genocidal Mother Computer Dorothy before perishing himself. Now reactivated by Lilia, Rion awakens to find that Dorothy managed to execute one final catastrophic program, rendering a evil crew to finish her goal of human annihilation. Strengths:
+ well developed story and dark game atmosphere + the powers are a blast to use

Posted Jun 10, 2005 - Galerians: Ash has a great setting and interesting characters but the gameplay is a bit flawed. This is a sequel to a Playstation game and continues from that game but fortunately there's a long, well done intro that summarizes the events from the first game. And what a job it does! It really sets up the dark, almost sinister mood of the game. Long story short, a computer program developed by humans starts to question god and her role in the world.
