Strengths: These people know how to give you a good time, and make you think.
Weakness: PS2 graphics, and it's nothing original. Also some funky camera angles.
Some games are never completely flawless. This one is flawless most of the time and it gives such a high level of emersiveness that it makes you feel like you are back in the third grade again being bullied for no good reason. This is not a game that makes you very happy. It has a happy ending though.
Strengths: Unique adventure game, very solid presentation
Weakness: Short
ICO is an action adventure game that has a stronger focus on the puzzles than the action. Thoughout the game you will have to progress while also leading along a princesses named Jorda. The trick is that she is not as skillfull as you so you may have to figure out a different way for her to get from point A to point B as you. The only major compliant one would probably have with ICO is that it is...
Strengths: + visually different from other games
Weakness: - not a lot of action
I would say Ico is a lot like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time so if you liked that game, you'll also enjoy Ico. Ico is in every sense of the word an adventure game. The game does a wonderful job of creating a fantastic atmosphere and setting. There is some occassional action but most of the gameplay is trying to solve puzzles, unlocking doors, and getting over obstacles.
Strengths: Brilliant atmosphere and puzzles
Weakness: Combat is fairly weak and annoying
Ico is considered a masterpiece by many of it’s fans. It’s not hard to see why either, the atmosphere the game creates is simply brilliant. As young Ico, you team up with princess Yorda to escape a castle. The design of the game puts you two in a partnership role where you help each other overcome the layout of the castle to escape. Ico is very young, athletic and fairly strong for someone...
Strengths: Atmospheric. Well-designed adventure game.
Weakness: Annoying camera. Short. Not much replayability.
Lots of positive things have been said about Ico. And there's lots to like. Innovative game play, wonderful environments, and a great sense of storytelling permeate every moment. If you like exploration, adventure games, or puzzling out what to do next given an environment, this game is for you. Much thought was put into the design of the game and the architecture of the enviroments. There is...
Strengths: Smart Puzzles, Amazing Environments, Decent Story, Visually Stunning, Good Character Models
Weakness: Short, No Replay Value, Button-masher
Ico is one of the most underrated game of the current-gen games; yet, it is one of the best action-adventure games available for the PS2. The environments in Ico are simply outstanding. The game is set in an huge castle, and the scenery is breathtaking. Most of Ico's gameplay is solving the plenty (and very beautifully designed) environmental puzzles. The level of difficulty steadily increases...
Strengths: Just Simply one of the best game ever for the Playstation 2 system! Best Adventure game ever! And story you'll just fall in love with.
Weakness: None!
ICO, was a hidden gem when release back when Playstation 2 was launch! being over shadow be AAA titled from Sony. Over time this game has become a cult classic! consider till this day as 1 of the top ten PS2 games. Pros: Graphic is just stunning (everything just flows together, and the whole entire world is crafted beautifully) Music soundtrack is another plus & fits the game very well. Control...
Strengths: + artistic design and layout of levels + lots of interactivity/level of immersion
Weakness: - low res graphics
Ico is like no game out there and just from the intro and beginning stage, you'll realize that a lot of time and effort went into this game. Unlike other games, Ico's levels are cleverly designed. The level of detail is inspiring and the developers really worked hard to meld all the puzzles into this small virtual world. For example early in the game, you must get Ico to the top of a tower, but...
Strengths: Visuals, music, great atmosphere, great puzzles.
Weakness: Too short, controls could be a tad tighter.
I just love the visual look of this game. These are the type of games that demonstrate how far video games have come in terms of becoming a true art form. The game itself plays somewhat like Zelda (obviously not as good) but even to this day, it still ranks as one of the best action adventure game. The puzzles are challenging and very inventive. The graphics in ICO are just mind blowing and will...

Ever get the feeling like everything has been done before and things just get churned out according to some obscure marketing professional's formula? You know how sometimes you play games, and they're really good but nothing special? They just do the same old thing exceptionally well? Then there are the rare games that completely blow you away, and you just can't help but keep marveling at how brilliant just about every single aspect of it is? ICO falls into the latter category. Closer to a work of art than a game, ICO is not only one of the...

The feeling of simply being in the world that Ico creates is one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen in a videogame. The visuals, sound, and original puzzle design come together to make something that is almost, if not quite, completely unlike anything else on the market, and feels wonderful because of it. The sensation is like a very strange dream -- a little frightening, a little...

Ico
Strengths: Jaw-dropping graphics and sound, enthralling story, inventive gameplay, intelligent puzzles
Weakness: None
Ico remains as one of the best Playstation 2 games of all time. The story is of a boy who, being born with horns, is cast out from his home and locked into a tower. In that tower, he finds Yorda, who is captured by shadow creatures. Ico frees her from the shadows, and then game starts from there. The graphics in the game are some of the best in the PS2 lineup, showing a beautifully rendered...
