This cable delivers quality picture and sound from the PS3. Monster makes consistently good cables, though I do not feel their price is justified. Anyway, the PS3 does not need a special cable for HDMI like it does for component video. I didn't realize this until after I purchased the cable. I tried another HDMI cable I had and it worked fine.
