Still fun, costs less than Rock Band. GH3 "Guitar" is easy to use.
No backwards compatibility on PS3 w/PS2 versions. Guitar not compatible w/RB.
Posted Feb 19, 2008 - Guitar Hero 3 for the PS3 is just as fun as one would expect. I never played any of the previous GH releases, but I have played Rock Band for the PS3, and GH3 isn't as much fun because of lack of local multiplayer (no instruments other than guitar, and no stand-alone GH3 guitars are currently available for PS3). GH3 is pretty cartoony so it is difficult to take it seriously and get involved. The guitar is easy to use and the songs are more challenging (even on the easy level).
