Great Puzzles

Strengths: - Great puzzle games

Weakness: - The box looks a little too cartoonish

This game is great. You definitely have to use your head to solve how to get the treasure chest. I've been playing for a week and at first the puzzle are easy just so you can get the hang of the controls. Later in the game it starts to get a little more complicated, but just enough before you throw in the towel. This is definitely recommended for children and adults.

Zack & Wiki - pirates, puzzles, and just plain fun

Strengths: Great art style; challenging puzzles; clever use of the Wii Remote; every level is different

Weakness: Some motion controls could be more responsive

Zack & Wiki sounds like a silly, cutesy, kiddy name for a game, which might prevent some people from ever giving it a chance. Don't let the name of the game stop you from buying it because it's an amazing game which uses the Wii Remote in a lot of unique and interesting ways. This game will have you holding the Wii Remote in various positions and using all kinds of different gestures. Some items...

Zack & Wiki rule!

Strengths: Fun creative gameplay. Great visual style.

Weakness: Weak multiplayer experience.

The multiplayer aspect is almost non-existent. Other "players" can draw, point, or highlight things to help Player 1. That's not really playing in my opinion. But I'll admit, the game's visual style and funny writing make it fun to just watch! If you have a Wii, get this game. Zack & Wiki rule!

Zack & Wiki - great original wii game

Strengths: -Great puzzles with variety -Clever use of the wiimote that doesn't feel tacked on -Long adventure that spans multiple themed areas such as forest, ice, etc. -Great value

Weakness: If you don't like puzzles, pirates, treasure, and a monkey, then you won't like this game.

Zack and Wiki is one of the few original 3rd party Wii titles that is not a minigame collection. The story involves pirate Zack and his monkey friend Wiki as they travel to various areas in search for treasure. Gameplay involves pointing and clicking to move Zack around as well as to investigate objects. The player can also transform animals into tools that Zack can use to solve puzzles in each...

Zack & Wiki

Strengths: Point and click classic for the Wii

Weakness: None

Zack & Wiki is a unique made-for-the-Wii game that makes probably the best use of the Wii remote since Wii Sports. You direct the main characters through over 20 levels trying to figure out puzzles and avoid enemies. Some are harder than others and many will take several tries to get through so the game has a good length to it. Interaction involves pointing at various items on screen and then...

Excellent game

Strengths: great pure puzzle game that creates some nostalgia

Weakness: can get very hard at times

This game reminds me of when I was younger, playing old-time adventure computer games on our old "Tandy" PC. The puzzles are interesting and unique, and sometimes quite difficult. Graphics are decent enough for Wii, a console which was never in contention for "best graphics ever." Gameplay is critical and that's where the game shines. Nobody really knows about this game, and that's a shame. I...

Fun, puzzle game

Strengths: Interesting, challenging puzzles. Innovative use of wii remote. Lots of game depth.

Weakness: Frustrating when get stuck. May be too difficult for younger kids.

Very interesting puzzle game in which the object in each level is to get to the treasure chest. The hard part is using things in the environment and the wii remote to get there. An added challenge is obtaining the highest scores by completely levels in a particular way. In addition, the game has secondary objectives such as finding old capcom characters in the environment and obtaining maps for...

Zack and Wiki - A Buried Treasure

Strengths: Anime-like animation Excellent and innovative implementation of wii motion controls Fun and challenging for all ages.

Weakness: Horrible product name. Poor advertisement. Hidden gem; emphasis on hidden. Weak story Weird voice actors

If your Wii is lacking a game and you're tired of hunting down errant stars on "Mario Galaxy", then "Zack & Wiki : Quest for Barbaros' Treasure" is the game you're missing. Unfortunately saddled with the longest and most horrifically intimidating name ever, so terrible as to include a floating apostrophe, Zack and Wiki is the best game that no one is playing or buying. Right from the start, it is...

Zack & Wiki

Strengths: Fun Adventure Game - Puzzle Solving Skills

Weakness: Game Length

This is an extremely underrated game for the Wii. The game is like the old school adventure point and click game on the PC (like Kings Quest) except with the twist of using the motion sensor controller. The game is family friendly for all ages and even though its a one player game, other people can watch and suggest solutions to the solving the puzzles on screen. For this current price of this...

Point and click revived

Strengths: Excellent interface for the genre

Weakness: Unforgiving

Zack & Wiki quickly became one of the best games on the Wii following its release. With the Wii being the perfect platform outside of the PC market for point-and-click adventures, it fit like a glove. Minus some imprecision with the path-finding and click-acknowledgement, there's nothing of note to complain about. The light story was entertaining, the puzzles were (at times almost too)...

Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure

For a time during the 90s adventure games, made predominantly by Lucas Arts, were one of the most well regarded group of titles. After the 90s these kind of games fell by the wayside, but now Capcom is using many of the same design elements in their first original Wii exclusive title, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure. You take control of Zack, a pirate boy with big dreams, as he and his...
