These black play & charge kit can charge your Xbox 360 controllers even as you play. But while it's charging it basically converts your controller to a wired one. While this is a good option in the sense that you can continue gaming even after your charge is out, the time it takes to charge the controller completely is several hours. It works exactly like the original play & charge kit, except it's black so it goes with the Elite model. Until the charging tower comes out in black, this is the best solution for recharging the controller's battery packs. Very easy to use. Really it is just plug, charge, and play. . Since this came in black, looks very slick with your black controller for your elite. The cord may be a little short depending on your setup. Highly recommended. Not too expensive.

I upgraded to the black elite model so I went all black on my accessories as well. I wish they made the play and charge cord a little bit longer, but the battery life is almost identical to the white model (if not a little longer but the white one I have is a bit older).

For some reason this black pack is cheaper than the white one. They function exactly the same, so I went this way. It's extremely nice to not have to continually replace AA batteries, but the intial charging time is ridiculous.

Overall, it is an economical solution isntead of buying AA batteries. It could ahve been designed better to charge quicker but not everything is possible. Overall B+ but Quick Charge Kit might seem better

This is a great product. It's a must have if you play a lot. You wont need to buy batteries ever again as long as you have this Charge Kit. I'm sure there will be a day that the battery pack will no longer take a charge but if that ever does happen you can buy an extra battery pack for around $11. You can also buy extra battery packs if you have more than 1 controller and still use just one...

Well the cord isn't any longer than my old play and charge kit, but most people probably don't play 20 feet from their massive TV's like I do. Basically the Play and Charge kit is back in black. Who am I to complain?

For a relatively cheap option to power your xbox 360 wireless controllers, use this. pretty simple just plug it in and it charges the included rechargeable battery pack. What could be easier. well maybe a charging tower with a couple extra packs, But you know I'm too cheap for that!
