So much fun

Strengths: Portal, Portal, Portal!

Weakness: I had already played Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 on the PC.

This is the best value in gaming right now. Essentially 5 games in one box. Let me start off at the top: Portal. Portal is probably the most innovative and fun game I have played in a really long time. Its funny, frustrating, fun, and mind bending. You really have to think to play it. TF2 is fun, but I really don't play it much. I see my brother online playing it every day though. What can be...

Must Own Game for the 360

Strengths: +5 solid titles +valued price +great graphics +great replay ability

Weakness: -portal more like mini-game (too short) -team fortress 2 online only -lame cover art

The Orange Box is a collection of 5 great titles from Valve. Included in this awesome package are Half Life 2, Half Life Episodes 1 / 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Half Life 2 is the same game as the old xbox game but with updated graphics. Despite being somewhat old, Half Life 2 still holds up well. Episodes 1 / 2 continue the game play found in Half Life 2. Portal is a mini game that...

Incredible Value

Strengths: Some of the best games around, all in one

Weakness: slightly old game shows a little age as far as graphics go

Half Life 2 is one of the standards for games and with this package, you can keep enjoying it. The game runs great on the 360 and the new games are well developed. Although the graphics don't use all of the latest tricks, they still look good. The science fiction story is right up there with the best you can find in games. The new puzzle game, even though short, is a blast and the new team...

The Orange Box

Strengths: Good value

Weakness: Graphics is a bit dated

I bought this game because of its value - five games in one box: half life 2, episode 1, episode 2, portal, and team fortress 2. The half life series is a bit boring for me, because I do not like to find ways around or seek for clues. My preference is Gears of War types of game, where things are linear and you don't need to hurt your eyes to look for clues. In addition, the graphics are dated...

The Orange Box (Xbox 360)

Strengths: Five full titles in one package, including 20 hours of Half-Life 2, a great online game and a intelligent puzzle game

Weakness: None apparent

The Orange Box has five full games inside of it. The main attraction is Half-Life 2, with the two follow-up episodes containing new content. Half-Life 2 shows its age well, as it still is entertaining to this day. The two episodes carry the story further forward and leave with an amazing cliff-hanger at the end of Episode 2. Portal is a very unique puzzle game that requires the careful use of...

Ludicrous value!

Strengths: 5 games for the price of one, all of them winners

Weakness: Half Life 2 not as good-looking as the other games in the box

Valve is really spoiling gamers with this set. First off, there's Half-Life 2 and its two current extra episodes. These are top-notch story-centric FPS, and the characters are far from disposable. Next is Portal, which is a truly inventive puzzle game. You'll have to think like MC Escher to solve some crazy puzzles. Please know, though, that there are some reflex-based areas, so it's not entirely...

Five Great Games for One Great Price

Strengths: 5 great games

Weakness: None

The Orange Box is a collection of 5 different FPS type games for the XBOX 360. The five games included are: Portal, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and Team Fortress 2. Portal is a puzzle FPS that the player has to get to the exit using portals. Half-Life 2 games let the player play as Gordon Freeman to help the resistance against some nasty humans and aliens. Team...

The Orange Box

Strengths: 5 games in 1. All great games.

Weakness: n/a

The Orange Box contains 5 games in one: Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Eps 1, Eps 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. All of which are great. The Half Life games are some of the best single player games I have ever played. They are FPSs revolving around a scientist named Gordon Freeman. Portal, in my opinion, is great, but is overrated by many. It is a FPS puzzle game. Team Fortress 2 is an online...

So many (great) games in such a small package

Strengths: Multiple great games HL2 finally on consoles

Weakness: Maybe could've been $5 or $10 cheaper (these aren't "new" games)

These games have not made their way to consoles, until now. If you are a PC gamer, it is likely that you have played them already. But for the console gamers, this is a great deal. All feature exciting gameplay, and each have their own unique charm. HL2 is just one great FPS series. Portal does things you haven't seen before. TF2 has a very fun multiplayer.

The Orange Box - Xbox 360

Strengths: Value, Superior Graphics, Solid Gameplay, Multiple Games on one disk

Weakness: None - unless you count the lack of Counter-Strike: Source

The Orange Box is a tremendous value for the amount of content Valve put on the single disk. Any Team Fortress fan will appreciate the upgrade with its gorgeous graphics and new gameplay types. Highly Recommended!

Five games, One Box. Thats the tag line behind Valves latest offering that packages in three new games along two previously available ones. In a departure from Valves usual operations The Orange Box will be available simultaneously on consoles alongside the PC. Naturally the title will be available from Valves Steam digital distribution system, where each game can be purchased a la carte, though...

The Orange Box

Special. Just one simple word that is used to describe many different subjects. In gaming, special usually implies a game that morphs into more than a just a game. The player begins to feel an almost personal connection to the game which soon becomes more of an urban legend than video game. Mario, Halo, and Final Fantasy are just a few of the gaming legends that have made the ascension to...
