THQ presents SAINTS ROW for the Xbox 360, a game similar in style to GRAND THEFT AUTO. Players have a number of missions to complete that include hijacking, gang battles, and other tasks. The character creation method in SAINTS ROW includes a wide variety of different options, including facial features, overall build, and clothing. In addition to selecting the character's beginning outfit, the clothing store in the game includes a huge amount of shirts, pants, jackets, and even underwear to customize characters. Vehicles play a huge role in SAINTS ROW, and THQ has includes over 80 different vehicles for players to control. Each has a unique look and feel, recreating the actual vehicle as close as possible. Like their character, players can also customize their wheels at the body shop and even adjust the radio by uploading music from an MP3 player into the game. One of the most unique aspects of SAINTS ROW is in recruiting other characters. Unlike most mission-based games, SAINTS ROW allows players to gain six different allies. One of these allies can be called in to assist the player during missions, adding an element of strategy and teamwork. Each of the supporting characters has his or her own special abilities and strengths. Running on the Xbox 360, the game includes amazing graphics. Cars are incredibly detailed, and the facial features of the characters look very real. With tons of missions, customization options, and more, SAINTS ROW is sure to provide endless entertainment to players.

I was skeptical about this game when I first bought it; it seemed to be too much like GTA. The fact is--it's much better than GTA. The graphics are far superior, and I love how easy it is to customize cars. This is definitely not a game for kids though.
Strengths: The concept and style of GTA but still has the Unique style on its own.
Weakness: None!!!
This game is awesome with tons of things to do which can lead to well over 100 hours of gameplay. I can't wait till they make a sequel. This is by far one of the best games for the 360 next to Gears of War

Weakness: Repetitive gameplay, massive amounts of cursing, this game is NOT meant for the younger audience.
Overall, a fun and addictive game. Many say this game is a GTA 3 clone, and in many respects it is. First, you must gain levels of respect by completing tasks and missions. You may then complete side missions, such as insurance scams, to help boost your money and respect. You gradually take over parts of town, gaining followers and money in the process.

Saint's Row is a sandbox-style game in the vein of GTA. The gameplay involves different types of missions working up through the ranks of gangs in trying to generate money and respect. The game looks good and plays well, with numerous customizable options through the diverse missions. There's also online multiplayer for added gameplay value. It's a great sandbox game and worth a look.
Strengths: This game rocks. Great story, cool weapons, get to create your own gang member.
Weakness: Controls not the same as GTA or Crackdown.
This game is one of the best games on the Xbox 360. I love playing this game. I have not yet gotten sick of playing this game. One bad thing is that they do use a lot of band words. But heck, this is a game about gang members.

Saints Row is very similar to games like the GTA series and The Getaway series. One thing this game outshines the other games are it's graphics. Everything from character to the cars are very detailed. The online mode is also very addicting to play. The single player can get repetitive, but that's not a problem as you can always jump right into the online mode.
Strengths: Grand Theft Auto style gameplay, open ended, good controls
Weakness: glitchy refresh rate, can get tedious
Saint's Row is a GTA clone to be sure, but it does it so well that a fan of that game style will be impressed. The targeting controls are improved from GTA and a decent storyline is included if you want to follow it....or just blow up a buncha gang members. Not the TRUE must have next gen experience, but still a lot of fun.

Another game based on the GTA formula. Saint's Row put you in the middle of gangland. Graphics are great and the gameplay is smooth, but I can't help, but think I have played this game before. There is a ton of stuff to do and missions are fairly straight forward. If you can't wait for GTA 4 for the 360, Saint's Row will satify you for now.

Like a Fraternal Twin ...
Strengths: Customisable rides and appearance, lots of activities, interesting story, beautiful vistas, good targetting system, and a lot of "homage" characters combined with real actors
Weakness: Limited vehicles (all ground, no motorcycles or bicycles), limited melee options (few weapons, poor unarmed), at-times-tedious mission structure (which isn't necessarily a negative, see below)
