Software Name: Blue Dragon
Software Main Type: Game
Strengths: Visually stunning cut scenes (story is epic, if not original). Simple gameplay for casual gamers, while still being appealing to most hardcore RPG fans. Voice acting is decent (Japanese is an option).
Weakness: Requires great time investment (50+ hours). No side missions. Slow paced. The same song plays repeatedly when fighting bosses. Designed with a Japanese audience in mind. Maro = Jar Jar Binks.
This is a great game for RPG or anime fans. It works well for both kids and adults, but the story presentation might seem a little childish for some adults. Overall, its a great game if you have the time to invest and you can handle increasingly annoying repetition in music and battle animations.
Strengths: The graphics are clean and bright. There is a lot to do in the game.
Weakness: Unfortunately, most of the gameplay is completely boring. The soundtrack is poor and the story is cliche. Triple shot of suckiness!
Blue Dragon is developer Mistwalker's old school RPG epic (it spans 3 DVDs). It figures to be Microsoft's answer to the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest role playing franchises. Three key figures contributed to the development of the game - Hironobu Sakaguchi (founder of Squaresoft and creator of Final Fantasy), Akira Toriyama (creator of Dragon Ball and character designer for Dragon Quest) and...
Strengths: Beautiful visuals, occasional nice soundtrack
Weakness: Story, gameplay, exploration, characters
Blue Dragon is a feast for the eyes, I wish I could say such things about the actual game. It's boring, the characters are not interesting, there's no development, they look lame to boot. The battle music, especially the boss, is annoying j-rock that verges on unlistenable. It's an average RPG, with an average story, and average battle system. It's being sold at $39 most places, and I'd say this...
Strengths: Impressive graphics, long gameplay length, great character design
Weakness: Slow to start story, bad music
Blue Dragon is an old-school JRPG on the Xbox 360. Covering three DVD's, it's a very long game in the best JRPG traditions, though done up with great graphics. The well-done character design shows clearly, though it takes a while to get into the story and really get interesting. The music, however, leaves a lot to be desired, and it's a bit of a distraction at times. RPG fans with so few choices...
Strengths: Excellent Japanese RPG for the 360
Weakness: N/A
My only hesitation about buying an Xbox 360 was that it would lack games like this that were so prevalent on the Playstation 2 (and presumably would be on the PS3 later as well). However, knowing that Blue Dragon was coming out helped me make that plunge into the 360. The game did not disappoint. Although it has gotten just average reviews, I will have to disagree with most of them. This is an...
Strengths: Lots of gameplay. Looks great.
Weakness: Terrible, Terrible combat music.
Blue dragon is a nice rpg/adventure game with a good story and some meorable vilans. It looks good and is familyf riendly. My biggist complaint is that it has some terrible, terrible music. Other than that, it's okay for an RPG. You at leats get your money's worth since there's a lot to do.
Strengths: fun, old school
Weakness: a little immature
Blue Dragon is an old-school RPG fan's dream game. I enjoyed the game but it was a little childish. If the game was more adult oriented, it would have been a great game. The graphics are great, and blue dragon demonstrates what an RPG could do on a next-gen system.
Strengths: Amazing limit break moves (Specail Attacks), Great character design & well thought of story
Weakness: A tad bit on the short side for an RPG, Game has a bit too much kiddy theme.
Blue Dragon for the box 360 is 1 of the few most wanted games for the xbox 360 + bein a RPG is a bonus. Produced from a new company mistwalker (ex producer of Final Fantasy) w/ amazing charter design from the popular Dragon Ball anime TV series. Nothing comes to mind as this game is goin to be GOLD. The game picks up fast, and gets you hooked, whe battles are more active then your standard...
Strengths: Great old school Japanese RPG feel and look. Pretty lengthy quest and storyline. Great music/soundtrack. Good anime graphics.
Weakness: Slow start to the story. Hard to really enjoy the game unless you devote a lot of time getting into the story. Average battle system and a "been there" sort of feeling.
Blue Dragon has been a long awaited game for me since I heard a lot of the talent that brought us the Final Fantasy series is in this game. The music producer, the game producer and art director are all top level and well known so this must be a great game right? Not quite. After playing this game for a few days now, the story is finally starting to pick up and get more interesting. But for those...
Blue Dragon is Microsofts attempt at capturing a portion of the traditional Japanese RPG audience that is dominated by Square-Enixs Dragon Quest series. Microsoft put together an all-star development cast that includes some of the main minds behind the biggest JRPG franchises in the world. Hironobu Sakaguchi, who is the creator of the Final Fantasy series, acts as producer and writer. Akira...

To say that the Xbox 360 is lacking with Japanese role-playing games would be an understatement. With only one title – that being Enchanted Arms-- in the genre after two years of being on store shelves, the Xbox 360 desperately needs support. Microsoft is trying to remedy the situation with Blue Dragon. What makes it so special? Let’s start with the fact that it’s the first title in their...

Blue Dragon (XBox 360)
Strengths: Graphics, gameplay
Weakness: Music
Blue Dragon is a old school Japanese RPG game for XBox 360. The game is fun and enjoyable, although the presentation may suggest its original appeal towards the younger population. The game takes some time to get into the story but it's really interesting. Overall, the game is very well done, with nice character designs and story development. Graphics is more anime looking and serves the purpose...
