.

Strengths: none

Weakness: many, especially weak graphics

This game attempts to follow the plot of the movie with the same name, in which you are the robot Terminator reprogrammed to go back into the past and protect mankind's future savior, John Connor from the deadly and more advanced SkyNet assassin, the T-X. The game developers were able to actually get Arnold Schwarzenegger himself to provide voice overs for his character. This is all well and good...

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Xbox

Strengths: None

Weakness: Everything, Seriously

This game could have been good if they made the camera actually work. I've never seen a game where the camera turned and made you walk at an angle sideways. It's AWFUL. You can barely play the game, I don't see how they could have playtested this and said, "Ok, let's release it."

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Xbox

Strengths: Couldn't think of any

Weakness: Graphics compareable to a PS1 game, bland gameplay

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is a good example of a movie licensed game slapped together just to make some money without putting the effort into making the game enjoyable. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is a third-person shooter which is imbalanced & never really seems to take off. When you start the game some of the missions will take you about 20-30 minutes roughly to play though but...

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Xbox

Strengths: Uses Arnold's voice and likeness as the Terminator, expands on the T3 film story, includes T3: Redemption demo

Weakness: Lousy graphics, animation and collision detection, adds little to Terminator mythology, just another licensed game

Atari made a big deal of licensing Arnold Schwartzenegger's likeness for this game (in addition to the obvious film rights), and one would hope that Arnold's voice acting and involvement might help to better this game's overall quality. The film has been called a last minute cash-in by Arnold on the popular series, and this does nothing to redeem his legacy. It appears that all of this was just...

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Xbox

Strengths: Uses Arnolds actual voice. Lots of great extra DVD features. Terminator T800 looks accurate.

Weakness: Boring levels, with not much going on. Bad graphics with blurry textures. Really bad animation.

This game is a complete waste of time. The simple story does not make it any more interesting playing in the boring, and linear levels. The AI for everything is poor, half the time the enemies does not respond. The controls are easy to use, but the character animations is so bad I did not want to use them. This game is only for the hard core Terminator fan.

Terminator 3 RiseMachines

As the technology, presentation and popularity of games grow, they have evolved to support film more completely and naturally than ever. Unusual, though, is the game designer that escapes the time pressures and confines of the franchise title. Star Wars titles regularly underwhelm the film series' unflappable fans, and Enter The Matrix was an exercise in hype vs. results. Even though these films...

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

After playing through a few of the newer movie to game conversions, I finally thought the age old trend of creating sub-par movie to game conversions was over. To prevent my hopes from becoming realized Atari recently released Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, based off the summer blocker buster movie with the same name. Just like the majority of movie to game conversions, Terminator 3 relies...
