Description
Voodoo Vince is an outrageous venture-from the streets of New Orleans to the depths of a Louisiana bayou-where players explore and fight as a tattered-but-tough voodoo doll on a quest to find the whereabouts of his keeper, Madam Charmaine. In true voodoo style, Vince encounters and defeats quirky monsters and villains ... by kicking his own butt! By racing under a falling safe, jumping into a high-speed blender, or leaping under falling rubble, Vince is sure to defeat his enemies-all while managing to escape completely unscathed.

Strengths: Excellent graphics & style
Weakness: Some difficulty issues at the end
I really enjoyed this game. The graphic style was very well done. A psuedo platformer- this game really shines on it's original game play, creative characters, and interesting level design. The music is also great! My biggest complaint is the last two levels are VERY hard- to the point where you just might throw up you hands and not complete them (I did). One particular level you're in an...
Strengths: Unique gameplay style
Weakness: Bad platforming segments and jumping puzzles
This game has some good graphics; the art style reminds me of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. The jazz music soundtrack is also pretty good. This is one of the many platformers found on the Xbox but unfortunately, is on par with the mediocre Blinx the Time Sweeper and Oddworld. It tries to mix in both action and platforming elements, in that the eponymous hero Vince is able to punch,...
Strengths: Originality in game play, great graphics and soundtrack
Weakness: Limited replay value, gets very difficult at the end
This game is a breath of fresh air for platforming games. The coolest thing about it is that in order to kill his enemies, Vince must find unusual ways to injure himself. His powers are hilarious, and there are many varied and well constructed levels. The colorful graphics and great music make playing even more fun. The amusement park level at the end gets annoying, but I made it through somehow....
Strengths: Original, entertaining platform game for the Xbox
Weakness: Game Length & Replay Value
Voodoo vince is a fun platforming type of game with a unique twist of punishing your voodoo doll character to inflict pain on other characters. The game itself suffers from some camera angle problems, but that doesn't distract from the fun that the game provides. Its rated T, but I have no problem with my 7 year old game playing the game as there's nothing but some very mild violence in the game...
Strengths: Perhaps the best platformer on Xbox, unique game play idea, biting humor, decent graphics
Weakness: Repetitive combat, limited replay value
As a publisher Microsoft Game Studios struggled early on to establish a decent platform game for its system. Nothing quite seemed to work right, especially where critics were concerned, but with the arrival of Voodoo Vince, the Xbox platformer curse may finally be broken. Voodoo Vince sees our beloved doll stolen, sprinkled with zombie dust and on the run in a quest to return to its master....

Xbox owners love those Xbox exclusives but, of course, there is a flipside to this coin. Yes, I’m talking about those games we probably won’t be able to play in the foreseeable future (Ah, Zelda: The Wind Waker, how we long to play thee) on our Xbox. Among the long list of games I wish to see on the Black Box are the PS2’s Jax and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, a platformer that changed the...

We've been waiting for a fun 3D action platformer on the Xbox for some time now -- and no, Blinx didn't cut it. Luckily, thanks to a healthy dollop of Jambalaya juice, Beep's new burlap hero Voodoo Vince seems to fit the bill rather nicely. This game takes the tried-and-tested 3D action platformer formula and puts a slightly different spin on the gameplay. It's nothing that you haven't seen...

Voodoo Vince proves that you don?t have to be a girl to have fun playing with dolls.

The 3D platforming genre should be more than a little familiar to us by now. Since the day Mario 64 was released, the gaming industry has seen more than its fair share of clones, mutations, and hybrids in the genre, though even after all these years, few have matched the quality found in the Miyamoto classic. But is the 3D platforming genre dead? Is there room, still, for innovation? We can't...

Voodoo Vince for Xbox
Strengths: Not quite a platformer, the humor is bitingly funny, graphics are quite good, sounds even better
Weakness: Seems a little short, even though I've not made it to the end yet after a few hours
This definately isn't your normal platformer. Sort of a platformer, though not quite. As Vince is a voodoo doll, you need to do yourself in to make your enemies suffer, and this is half the reason to get the game. The different ways you do yourself in are damn funny, even if they get a bit repetitive. The graphics are very good, and it sounds great, well showing off the XBox's hardware. The game...
